I’m a physician myself and extremely selective when it comes to choosing doctors for my own care. From the moment I booked my appointment with Dr. Rafii, I was impressed. His staff were warm, genuinely caring, and highly professional. As for Dr. Rafii, I’ve seen several ENT specialists over the…

Dr. Rafii is amazing! Working with him has been a game-changer for my voice. He helped me discover a vocal nodule I didn’t even know I had, and more importantly, gave me insight and referrals to learn to sing in a way that protects and strengthens my voice. His approach is both caring and…

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, as we reserve 45 minutes specifically for each patient. This allows us to offer that time to other patients who may need it. Appointments canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours, or missed on the day of the appointment (no-shows), are subject to a $100 fee. We understand that urgent situations can arise, and in those cases, the fee may be waived.
What payment options are available?
We accept credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and can discuss third-party medical financing upon request.
Will I get documentation to submit to my insurance?
Yes. We provide a detailed, itemized superbill with CPT/ICD-10 codes. Out-of-network benefits vary by plan. If you have questions, please call or text us at 424-300-0123.
How does billing work if I have a Medicare Advantage plan?
Most Medicare Advantage (MA) plans are private HMO/PPO products. We are typically out-of-network for MA. Many MA patients still choose to self-pay; we’ll provide documentation you can submit to your plan. We’re also proud to partner with MusiCares, a foundation that supports those in the arts community. Through this program, qualifying patients may be eligible for grants to help cover the cost of care. If you’re in the music or arts industry, let us know—we’d be happy to share more details and guide you through the process
Do you accept Medicare?
Yes—traditional Medicare is accepted.
Do you take insurance?
We are an out-of-network, fee-for-service practice. We accept Medicare and, as a courtesy, will bill your out-of-network benefits, which count toward your deductible. Since our reimbursement from out-of-network is low or $0 (because these payments are applied directly to your deductible, not to the practice), there may be a fee for our services. This approach allows us to keep our fees lower than many other concierge practices while still helping you maximize your deductible. Because every plan is different, we recommend contacting us so we can review your specific coverage and answer your questions. We’re also proud to partner with MusiCares, a foundation that supports those in the arts community. Through this program, qualifying patients may be eligible for grants to help cover the cost of care. If you’re in the music or arts industry, let us know—we’d be happy to share more details and guide you through the process.
Do you coordinate care with other doctors?
Absolutely. We send consultation letters and coordinate with your referring doctor, PCP, endocrinologist, SLP/voice coach, and any other specialists involved in the care of the problem we are treating.
Do you perform surgery, and where?
Yes—surgery is performed at accredited hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers in Los Angeles. We’ll recommend the best location for your case.
Do you perform in-office procedures?
Yes—Dr. Rafii specializes in minimally invasive office procedures including awake vocal fold injections, a variety of vocal cord injections, and laser procedures, FEES, nasal valve radiofrequency (Vivaer®), posterior nasal nerve ablation (RhinAer®), balloon sinuplasty, and Eustachian tube balloon dilation, among others.
Do you provide voice therapy?
We coordinate closely with a hand-selected premium group of specialized voice therapists (SLP). When voice therapy is indicated, we’ll connect you and share strobe findings and clinical notes with your therapist, to ensure your treatment team is always on the same page.
What is included in the appointment?
A detailed history, head & neck exam, and when appropriate, high-definition flexible laryngoscopy/videostroboscopy, nasal endoscopy, or endoscopic swallowing assessment. We review prior records, outline diagnosis, and give you an individually tailored treatment plan.
What conditions do you treat?
Click on the "What We Treat" tab at the top of the page for a detailed list of conditions we treat.
It looks like Dr. Rafii focuses on voice and thyroid—does he also treat ear or nose problems?
Yes. While laryngology and thyroid/parathyroid surgery are our primary focus, we provide the full breadth of specialized ENT care, including nose/sinus, tonsils, ear, and sleep-related concerns.
Do you only see certain types of patients?
We specialize in professional voice users, thyroid & parathyroid conditions, and swallowing difficulties. In addition to these areas, our practice provides expert care for a full range of ENT concerns, including sinus and allergy issues, hearing/ear and balance problems, and other general ENT needs. We focus on providing personalized, attentive care for every patient.
Where are you located and how do I park?

For 2 hours of free parking, you may use the Beverly Hills Public Parking garage at 461 Bedford Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90212. When a matter requires the physician’s input, Dr. Rafii is looped in immediately and will either advise through the team or contact you directly if appropriate.
